#MTOS: “Slasher” Horror – Happy Halloween folks! post thumbnail image

Drawing our month long look at the world of Horror on film, we naturally come to the real of slasher horror.  What with there being a new Halloween film out, and it actually being the time of Halloween this week, it just felt so right.  On duty to guide us through this topic is @kdokenoute (aka: Ken).

Now, a bit of background, since Ken doesn’t run a blog or anything himself…..

I’ve known Ken for a fair few years – he is, after all, married to my sister (@HTM_1983 – go follow her on Twitter too…she’s fab!)  We both have a mutual love for cinema in its widest varieties, as you may have noticed by his involvement in the weekly discussions, and he’s not just my brother-in-law, but he’s a good friend.

However, we don’t always see eye to eye on films, and both have our personal tastes – his is a definite love of horror.  Had it not been for his passion for the genre I probably wouldn’t have given some films a second shot after they had failed to impress me.  His perspective on some of the films that just didn’t seem worthy of the hype around them made me re-analyse them, and appreciate the genre more and more.  If I need to know about an obscure gore film, he’s the guy to ask.  So when we were splitting up the topics for this month, he seemed perfectly matched to cover the slasher genre.

So, we present to you this week’s ten questions up for discussion this coming Sunday on Twitter at 8pm UK time.

See you there, and Happy Halloween folks!
