With the recent release of Clerks 3, it got me thinking about Kevin Smith’s career, and I cast my mind back to mid 2019 when we initially ran a set of questions about Smith. Wanting to explore a little more, and also see if his recent sequels have changed any minds, this week for Movie Talk On Sunday we shall work through 10 more questions about Smith and his works.

Q1: Kevin Smith is certainly his own biggest fan, but are you a fan of his films? What do you like/dislike about his work? #MTOS
Q2: Before his revent return to more familiar characters he made a few different films – Jersey Girl, Red State, Cop Out, Tusk, Yoga Hosers – did you see these and were they good examples of him stretching his range? #MTOS
Q3: Have any of his recent returns to his more established characters worked for you? #MTOS
Q4: There’s occasional talk of him making Mallrats 2. We’re you a fan of the first, and would you rush to see a return to those characters? #MTOS

Q6: Whilst he works with regular collaborators, he also inserts some choice cameos in a lot of his films. Any favourites amongst them? #MTOS

Q8: Smith recently delivered us the animated update to Masters of the Universe, to generally positive reaction. Did you see it, and are there any other classic animations you’d like him to bring back in a smiliar manner? #MTOS
Q9: His long time cohort, Jason Mewes, has cropped up in a few other projects over the years. Can he impress without Smith, or does Jay need his hetero life partner Silent Bob to work? #MTOS
