Superheroes – you can’t get away from them these days. Whether you are tripping up over the multiple MCU films and shows each year, or watching the DCEU trip itself up over its messy attempt to play catch-up, when it should have just been doing its own thing, the two ‘big boys of comic movies’ are duking it out for box office. But it wasn’t always this way. There was a time when we were lucky to get 1 comic book superhero on the screen in a year – and indeed, there was a time when most were doomed to the bargain bin at Poundland.

So, this week for Movie Talk On Sunday #MTOS over on Twitter, we explore the wealth of films – good or bad – that kept comic book fans excited over the decades, before everyone seemingly became a comic book fan.
