What says Christmas these days more than a new Star Wars film? In fact, even as a kid, Star Wars was prevalent over the festive period either because one of the films would be on, or many presents would be Star Wars themed.

The franchise has permeated our lives and culture so much that even if you aren’t a fan (and I know a certain sister of mine who will not be taking part this week for that very reason), you will still know what words such as “force” or “jedi” or “Yoda” mean when used in conversation.

So, as we rapidly approach the final entry in the Skywalker Saga, let’s take a moment to look back over the franchise for this week’s Movie Talk On Sunday.

Q3: When Lucas tinkered with the original trilogy for the Special Editions, what changes were you okay with, and which do you dislike?  If any additional changes could be made, what would you change? #MTOS

Q4: Who is your favourite character from the Skywalker Saga?  Who is your least favourite? #MTOS

Q5: Outside the Skywalker Saga, the series has expanded into other films and now TV (via the Mandalorian).  How do you rate these spin-offs?  What would you like to see going forward? #MTOS

Q6: Have you delved into any of the books or comics (either pre-Disney, or post-Disney)?  Are there any you would recommend?  Do they bring anything worthy to the franchise? #MTOS

Q7: Do you own any Star Wars related memorabilia?  If so, what is the pride of your collection? #MTOS

Q8: Over 40 years since the first film hit screens, and the series still has an impact on screen, and in popular culture, where other franchises have fallen.  What is it that makes Star Wars continue to be such a phenomena? #MTOS

Q9: If you could pick one moment from all the films so far to highlight what you love most about the franchise, what would it be and why?

Q10:  Now the main films are coming to an end, the franchise looks to be taking a break from the big screen.  Many projects have been rumoured to go forward – which whets your appetite most, and why? #MTOS
