#MTOS Presents: Cruise-ing for a Bruising

#MTOS Presents: Cruise-ing for a Bruising post thumbnail image

There’s a lot that can be said for Tom Cruise, and not all of it very flattering.  Announcements of ‘yet another one of his films’ being set for release seem to get a fair bit of negativity from some quarters, and whilst films such as The Mummy don’t do much to disprove any negative opinions, it always seems that the stronger of his films don’t do the type of box office they deserve.  But where does the negativity come from, and is it validated by his actions on and off screen?  Should a star’s personal life really craft our opinion of them on-screen (well, aside from Kevin Spacey, but that’s a topic for another day)?

This week on #MTOS, the topic (should you choose to accept it) is Tom Cruise, and through it we shall be discussing his work – for good or for bad – and laying out our personal opinions on the man, the actor, the crazy stuntman!

Here’s the questions so you can prepare – unless you fancy the thrill of diving in blind like Ethan Hunt dropping into a central column of a skyscraper at night…

As a curious afternote, it’s amusing me that over the past few weeks we have gone from Sharks to Spielberg to Cruise – with this kind of linking, surely it is only a matter of time before we get to Kevin Bacon (who starred with Cruise in A Few Good Men….boom!)

Anyway, 8pm UK time on Twitter this coming Sunday…..
