#MTOS is usually all about love of films.  Whilst we occasionally have questions that touch on ‘disappointing’ entries into an actor/director’s career, we normally focus on the things we enjoy, and respect each other’s love of those things.

Until now – as a cathartic exercise, this week’s topic will be all about things that are bad on film!  So, here’s the chance to let the world know what you really feel.  But, it ain’t all bad – we will also take a gander at those films that are ‘guilty pleasures’ or are ‘so bad, they are good’.

So, join me on Sunday 24th November at 8pm UK time as we work our way through the following questions, for a night of upsetting each other with our hatred of films….in a respectful manner, of course.

Q1: Are there any films that everyone seems to praise all the time that you tend to keep quiet about as you have the polar opposite opinion?  Tell us here what it is and why you don’t like it? #MTOS

Q2: What about the other way around – films that you seem to be alone in your love of, that everyone else seems to hate? #MTOS

Q3: There’s been a few stinkers this year, haven’t there?  Surely?  What are your bottom three films you’ve had the misfortune to view this year? #MTOS

Q4: We’ve spoken in the past about how there are some great remakes out there – but what about the truly awful ones?  What are the worst remakes you can recall seeing? #MTOS

Q5: Which director do you absolutely have no time for, and find yourself hating on their films?  Have they ever made a good film, or is their CV just dross?  #MTOS

Q6: What about actors?  Which star of the screen makes you actively avoid seeing the film?  Again, are there exceptions? #MTOS

Q7: Now we already know that sequels get worse and worse as they go on, but what is the worst sequel to a great film you can recall seeing? #MTOS

Q8: Soundtracks can really set the mood for the film, and in some cases are the prime element to create the scene – but are there any soundtracks to films that ruined the whole thing for you? #MTOS

Q9: A script can hang on the flow of dialogue so much.  The wrong words can turn a serious scene into a farce.  What are the worst dialogue exchanges on film that you can think of? #MTOS

10. Okay, let’s try to end on a little positivity.  Is there any truth to the idea that something can be ‘so bad it is good’?  If there is, can you name some films that fit into this category? #MTOS
