#MTOS: I’m Back!

#MTOS: I’m Back! post thumbnail image

I have returned! After a fun 3 and a half months back and forth to Banbury, living out of hotels, and working with a whole new team, I am now settled back into some kind of normality again in Sheffield. So, I thought I’d draw reference to my last few months with a topic themed around…well…my last few months. Now, obviously you don’t want to answer questions about me (unless you do, if so I can make that a thing), so what I want to do is share some love of films themed around certain keywords of my last few months.

So, join me on Sunday 11th September as we spend 90 minutes or so working through the below list of questions. All are welcome to join in, one question fires out every ten minutes with the #MTOS (Movie Talk On Sunday) attached. Just follow the hashtag and answer along – remember to include the #MTOS in your reply so the rest of us can see your answers.

See you then

Q1: Trains : The past three months have seen me travelling on a lot of trains. But what films set on trains do you have a love for, and are there any that you feel are overlooked a lot? #MTOS

Q2: Hotels: 3 months of hotel stays was hard (especially with just basic rooms), and had me longing for the type of hotels seen in films. Which hotels from films would you love to spend a night in? #MTOS

Q3: Sheffield: I’m back home in Sheffield, home of a number of films through the years. What are your favourite Sheffield set films? #MTOS

Q4: Work: My time back and forth was for work reasons. What films focussed on working life rank highly for you? #MTOS

Q5: Return: So, I return to normal now. Might be a stretch of a question here, but what films with the word “Return” in the title do you love? #MTOS

Q6: Home: Back home, where the heart is apparently. Again, let’s take the word “Home” and find out what films use that word in the title that you recommend? #MTOS

Q7: Family: I’m back with my family now. But “family” also refers to mobs and gangs. So what crime films are ranked high in your lists? #MTOS

Q8: Saying Goodbye: It was a tearful farewell to the Banbury team, reminiscent of some memorable goodbyes in films. But which tearful partings in films resonated with you the most? #MTOS

Q9: Summer: I spent the whole of the season away from home, missing out on those vacation months. Which films about vacations do you love? #MTOS

Q10: Cinema: My time was spent bringing the joy of Cinema to a new town. What films, set around either a cinema, or focussed on the movie making process itself, do you recommend we all check out? #MTOS
