So, this week let’s have a chat about the Distinguished Competition (as they were often referred to by Stan Lee), and their outings on the screen.

We will start with a look at the films that came before the current range of DCEU films, before seeing what we all feel about the recent outings, and where they go right and wrong respectively.

Q2: Superman is the longest standing character for DC on film (and in comics), from 1951s “and the Mole Men” to present day. In 1978 Christopher Reeves played the role. Is that film really as good as claimed, or has it aged poorly? What about the sequels? #MTOS
Q3: On the flip side, is Superman Returns as bad as people say, or do you think it was a shame we never got a continuation of that representation? #MTOS
Q4: Which version of pre-DCEU Batman do you have a particular fondness for, and why? How would you rank the actors from best to worst? #MTOS
Q5: What were your feelings on films such as Constantine, Jonah Hex, Watchmen, and V for Vendetta – the edgier realms of DC owned properties? #MTOS
Q6: Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy get a lot of praise and attention, but is it deserved? What worked well in them, and what didn’t? #MTOS
Q7: Man of Steel launched the modern DCEU line of films. The film provokes some very divisive responses. What do you like about the film, and what do you dislike? #MTOS
Q8: How do you feel in general about the direction the DCEU series of films have taken? What have they been doing right, and what have they been doing wrong? #MTOS
Q9: With Geoff Johns now in charge of the films, and Snyder removed, what do you hope to see from the films going forward? Are you excited for the announced line of films to come? #MTOS
Q10: On TV the DC franchise seems to have garnered more success (and recent reports show they are the top-rated comic book shows on TV). Are there any characters used in the TV shows that you would like to see on the big screen? #MTOS
